Short Term Memory


Short-term memory, sometimes referred to as "primary," "working," or "active" memory, is said to hold a small amount of information for about 20 seconds.


Estimates of short-term memory capacity vary - from about 3 or 4 elements (i.e., words, digits, or letters) to about 9 elements: a commonly cited capacity is 7±2 elements. ln contrast, long-term memory indefinitely stores a seemingly unlimited amount of information.

Short-term memory can be described as the capacity (or capacities) for holding in mind, in an active, highly available state, a small amount of information. The information held in short-term memory may be:

tak tahulah sbb dah tua ke sbb masalah lain...tp sejak dua menjak ni (dah lama gak sbnrnya tp start bila tak tahu, mungkin start keje kot) asyik la pelupa...baru jer ingt nak buat apa, nak ambik apa, tp pusing jer badan, dah lupa apa nak dibuat....aduhai...
selalu jer kalau ngan kawan2, kita org selalu ckp, "short term memory"...hehehe

smlm pun exam, tensen sgt sbb soalan senang tp lupa apa yg dibaca...so terus takleh nak jawab, merapu2 jawapan bg...kkdg br jer hafal, tutup buku kejap utk ingtkn balik, masih gak lupa...

ari tu ada member ngadu kat Doktor..Doktor kata sbb kita ni bila dah makin tua, makin byk kepala kita dok pikir..sbb tu kita dah makin lupa...tak th la betul ke idak..tp pikir2 logik gak..dlm kepala ni byk tul benda nak dipikir...maklumlah dah matang, cabaran pun makin byk...
